Who Are We?

The Rainbow Road Story Coralee & Murray

Rainbow Road Resources is a small business dedicated to creating, publishing and distributing unique resources to assist those working with students with special needs. RRR aims to provide an efficient, friendly service where specialised support is only a call away.

Coralee Lawrence, originally from the city of Charters Towers in Queensland, graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 1987. Coralee has worked in a variety of community settings, from charitable organisations to government Child Development Units. For the last 18 years Coralee has enjoyed a thriving Private Practice concentrating on assisting school aged children to reach their potential.

Coralee's passion is sharing her knowlege with others whether through creating Teacher friendly resources or her vibrant seminars. In her rare spare time, she can be found mosaicing in her studio. She is wife to Murray and mother to David and Peter, who keenly participate in the family business.

Murray Lawrence, has a banking background, where his variety of skills were used in training, computing and administrative avenues. His high level of problem solving ability and adaptability makes him an invaluable asset to Rainbow Road Resources.

Coralee and Murray operate Rainbow Road Resources from their premises in Brisbane, Queensland.

Coralee became aware of an acute lack of resources to assist people working with those children that had learning difficulties. Coralee began developing ideas and producing home-made programmes to assist in her work. A number of other therapists were also using her programmes.

Rainbow Road Resources grew out of a simple desire to share these ideas with Teachers and Therapists. From one afternoon of resource sharing (in April 2000) came an instant demand for Memory Magic Programme and the Finger Circus Game.

Suddenly the home made resources had to be produced in bulk. Enthusiastic teachers, eager for practical resources had created a whole new enterprise.

Since development of the Rainbow Road Programme in July 2000, the programmes are now professionally produced and available to Teachers and Therapists everywhere. Many schools have already realised the fantastic benefits that can come from use of the Programmes.

Now Rainbow Road is sold throughout Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland.  Over 800 schools are now enjoying access to the programme. Parents are now catered for with the new CD-Rom “Rainbow Round the Clock”
